Westfield won the final of the combined counties youth cup with a 6-2 win against Molesey after extra time.

However the scoreline does little to tell the story of a fantastic incident packed game.

Westfield took the lead midway through the first half through man of the match Aaron Gough from a corner (pictured) and shortly doubled the lead before Molesey pulled one back just before the break.
The second period saw Westfield spurn 4 of 5 clear cut chances before Molesey hit a superb 20 yard equalizer. Westfield again missed a number of clear cut chances before Molesey again finished the half the strongest and threatened to win the tie. Infact an injury time header rattled the bar. Into extra time and Molesey twice went close including one which rolled off the post and across the line before Westfield took the lead and in the second period scored three more times without reply.
Molesey were reduced to ten men in injury time when their skipper was sent off in a game which in truth would have probably saw at least 4 or 5 other red cards on a normal Saturday.

Congratulations go to Dennis North and the boys for some well deserved silverware at the end of a terrific season.
