Injuty time winner Spells the end for Fields promotion hopes

10 man Westfield suffered late heartache as they went down 3-2 at home in a thrilling match
With a very strong wind behind them the visitors opened the scoring after 6 minutes via the penalty spot but failed to add to their tally going into the break.
The second half saw Westfield as expected on the front foot and they scored a deserved equaliser through Ricky Hogsden on 65 minutes. Moments later Rob Jones was harshly sent off for an alleged dive and a second bookable offence. The visitors took full advantage by going ahead almost straight away but Westfield hit back 4 minutes from time through Michael Leech (pictured). With the 90 min’s up the match official indicated 6 minutes of injury time but Sports scrambled a winner home in the 8th minute of stoppage time to earn the 3 points.
The reserves made comfortable work of Suburban league leaders Walton & Hersham reserves with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Daryn Hennessy and Jon Melia. Nick McGregor made a late penalty save to keep the clean sheet intact
