Westgate beat Milnthorpe by 64 runs to take up top spot in Division 1 on Saturday.

Batting first Westgate got off to a great start and after nine overs were 41 - 0. Craig Buchanan looked in fine form top scoring with 27. A more sedate 23 from Garry Tattersall and 26 from Andy Hill set up the innings for a big total.
However it was not to be as from a score of 81 for 2 after 26 overs the middle order collapsed to 99 for 8 after 37 overs with Scott Singleton (4 - 25) and veteran Bobby Baldwin (3 - 17) causing the damage.
Danny Wilkinson (15) & Peter Wilson (17 no) then made decent contributions with a final total of 125 being seen as competitive.
At 24 - 8 after 24 overs a depleted Milnthorpe side were in disarray. Danny Wilkinson further boosted his Fantasy League points with figures of 11 - 4 - 26 - 5 and he was well supported by Andy Nisbet 9 - 4- 16 - 4. A cameo from Scott Singleton with 21 no made sure of some respectability as the visitors succumbed to 61 all out and the reigning champions obtained the maximum 15 points.
