WHCC batting first ( Chirag Sisodia 119, Adeel Malik 58 ) reduced Rajput Samaj to 103 All Out to bring back MPCL cup to WHCC.

West Harrow brought home the Middlesex Premier Cricket League Cup after a gap of 17 years on Sunday. They took on Division 1 League Leaders Rajput Samaj in the idyllic surroundings of Teddington CC on a gloriously hot day.

Batting first West Harrow were in dire trouble at 20 for 3 with Sufian, Sangeet and Bhavesh all back in the clubhouse. Then a 4th wicket partnership of 98 by man of the match Chirag Sisodia 119 and Adeel Malik 55 turned the match back in West Harrow's favour. West Harrow went on to score a formidable 263 all out in 44 overs.

Rajput Samaj never really got going in reply, losing early wickets and then steadily thereafter. The only resistance was from their opener Amman who watched helplessly as wickets fell at the other end. Rajput subsided to 103 all out in 29.4 overs. No one bowler stood out for West Harrow and there were 2 wickets a piece for Asad, Adeel and Sufian.

The Cup was presented to West Harrow Captain Vipul Parmar by former India Test Player and Coach Anshuman Gaekwad. The award for Man of The Match award was a " no brainer" and it went to Chirag Sissodia for his match winning century and impressive glove work behind the stumps. A special mention to the West Harrow "Barmy Army" who travelled in numbers and supported their beloved club with passion and enthusiasm and then celebrated post match with the team long into the night.
