This is the first Shield Final since Wests were victorious back in 2003beating North Ribb.

The closest Wests have come to repeating the victory back in 2003 was a semi final loss to Ilkley back in 2015.

A formidable opponent now stands in front of West Leeds, Bradford and Bingley. Having lost only 1 game all year, they have found themselves Champions of Yorkshire 1.
