Meon were the first to score!

It was a dismal day not only due to the typically Autumnal day but also Meon were facing the prospect of playing this match with only 9 players! However a massively positive attitude meant that Meon went out determined to play their best and that they did! Meon were first to score with a lovely Karyn Tiplady drive up the wing, a beautiful strike which flew passed the goalie who had run out, Southampton's defence made a super save on the line only to clear into the path of Pippa Dick who tapped it into the back of the goal. Southampton piled the pressure on for the rest of the half and 2 minutes before half time equalised. Into the 2nd half and Meon's tiredness showed and with them really missing those 2 players they conceded 3 more goals. Despite everyone's best effort Meon lost 4-1!! Onto next week's game where hopefully more of the squad will be available.
