Welcome to West Mon RFC
The club is based at the PILCS Social Club, New Road, Pontypool and plays its matches a short distance away at the Skew Fields, Griffithstown. (see link for map)
The club exists to provide a regular game of rugby at a relaxed level for players and members from the surrounding districts.
Training is held every Tuesday and Thursday commencing at 6.30pm at the New Inn PILCS sports and recreation club under the watchful eyes of Head coach Mark Jones assisted by Steve Watkins.
The team plays in the Gwent, Newport and Pontypool League and is currently captained for the third consecutive season by the legendary prop forward David Winter (DJ) who has played for the club for a number of years and is well respected amonst the playing community for his tactical awareness and love of the game.
We extend a warm welcome to old and new players alike.
