Training will take place on Sundays between 10am and 12pm at Westoe Rugby Club (subject to change). Qualified coaches and parent helpers will run the training, playing equipment will be provided. Arrangements should be made by you to provide transport to and from the training venue and ensure you have the relevant telephone number to contact the team coach if you are unable to collect your child.

There is a team code of good practice and conduct which members and their parents/guardians are expected to adhere to and, by becoming a member and using the club facilities, are agreeing to abide by it. Anyone wishing further information on this subject, please see the Chairman.

Your child will need to provide his/her own training kit, i.e. boots, shorts, socks and trainers when required, including some warm clothing e.g. long sleeved top and jogging pants, but Team Rugby Shirts will usually be provided for match play. These must be returned to the coach on demand. Shower kit and clean clothing will be needed as no child will be allowed in the clubhouse or on any transport used with dirty hands, face, clothing or footwear. Players should always bring their own water bottle and gumshield.

Cost of Training for the season will be £22 for u7s -u12s and £32 for u13s - u16s.
U17s must become members of the Senior Section, please refer to the Registration Secretary for more information. Fees must be paid to the Registration Secretary by November 1st and can be paid by cash or cheque (made payable to Westoe RFC Junior Section), in full or as weekly payments until paid up. Anyone without a current registration and paid up membership by this date will not be allowed to participate in matches or festivals.
Extra costs for transport to away games and midweek training may be charged but will be kept to a minimum. Individual teams may collect subs as a means of raising money to finance extra equipment or social outings for team members, see your team coach for details.

Junior Section fees cover membership to South Shields & Westoe Club and RFU registration.
Annual renewal will be required to maintain membership and reactivate RFU registration and insurance cover.

If you have any queries regarding any aspects of Westoe Mini & Junior Section please do not hesitate to contact the Chairman, Peter Waters, Secretary, Jan Duncan or any Team Coach.
