Teams for Saturday

After a disappointing start to 2015 away at Lymm, Westoe return to home turf this Saturday to face tenth placed Burnage in the National League Three North. The sides have already met once this year with Burnage taking the points at home with a 29-10 win.
The Stockport side got off to a flier in the new year with a 103-0 demolition of the league’s bottom team Beverley last weekend and will be aiming to produce another dominant performance against Westoe.
Despite last weekend’s result, and the increasingly worrying position in the table, Westoe Director of Rugby Andy Howells is remaining positive about his side’s chances.
He said: “You go out there and on our day like when we beat Rossendale, we beat them really well, if we can get any sort of that form back again that would be us looking to do the job.”
Howells said his side are “not looking too bad for this week” as they will be able to welcome a number of players back into the fold this week, and are once again getting close to having a full strength side available, however prop Raymie Elliott is likely to miss out though injury.
Westoe play three of the league’s top four sides over the next few weeks and will need to start picking up home wins if they are to stay in contact with those above tham.
Howells said: “It’s going to be tough, we have to knuckle down and we have to see where we’re going.”
“It’s a young developing side this Westoe team and when the boys go out there they don’t go out there intentionally to lose games, they go out there they’re learning, they’re in a big learning curve.
“So we’re going to do what we can to make sure that we don’t get relegated, we need to start winning our home games and we’ll start with Saturday.”
If Howells’ young side do muster up a win on Saturday it won’t be enough to see them level with Morley in twelfth place as the gap to mid table continues to grow.
Kick-off is at 2:15 at Wood Terrace.
