When the two teams met in October at Wood Terrace the visitors came out on top 26-20.
The result was one of only two losses suffered at home this season for the Shieldsmen - the other being against league leaders Loughborough.
Chairman Duncan Murray is hoping that his side can get their own back and keep their own good form going.
He said: "It will be a tough encounter down Stockport.
"They came up to Wood Terrace last time and deservedly beat us.
"We want to put that right this time to carry on our great form.
"We suffered a blip against Nuneaton a couple of weeks ago but other than that our results recently have been flawless.
"The players are playing with real togetherness and are fighting for each other to get the results.
Last week's home win against the Preston Grasshoppers was their eighth win in nine games.
It is a run that has sent them soaring into second place in the table just 10 points off the top spot.
Stockport have had an indifferent season winning 10 and losing 10 of their 20 games so far.
This has left the Cheshiremen in eighth place in National League 2 North.
Despite this it is still a game that the South Tynesiders must be wary of at The Memorial Ground.
