South Shields Westoe host Horden & Peterlee at Wood Terrace on Saturday and will be looking to reverse the early season loss against a side who always seem to cause them problems.
After last week’s resounding victory in the Northern Divisional Cup Final, Westoe need only to replicate the form that saw them run in twelve tries to progress to the semi-final of the National Intermediate Cup.
Despite sitting in tenth spot, Horden beat Westoe at home by 29-24 in an ugly match back in November, which saw them dip in form losing four matches in succession.
Westoe need only to focus on their own game-plan and ensure they are not drawn into a wrestling match with the visitors and they should finish the day with the five points available.
Westoe make one change in the pack with Sean Ramsay returning to the flank. Sam Seymour starts at scrum-half and the back three see Matt Rannigan and Ross McCauley retuning, with Luke Moffett rested to the bench.
Additional fire-power comes from Haydn Richards and Martin Bengston who could make a big impact when used.
