West Park Leeds had to overturn a 0 v 14 deficit to down West Leeds 30 v 19 in an absolute crackerjack of a Yorkshire 2 game.

The visitors scored three tries, two of them from former Leeds and Wigan RL man Mark Calderwood.

Powerful home centres Jordan Bradley and Sam Booth both crossed in impressive style as did scrum half Miles Bloor.

The vital score came from the last play of the game, a cheekily taken effort scored by replacement back Johnny Graham that both earned his side a four try bonus point while denying a losing bonus point to the visitors.

Fullback Simon Towler landed two penalties as well as two conversions.

West Park Warriors were right in the hunt going into the final quarter with Driffield 2nds but a lapse in concentration allowed the visitors, who had four quality replacements at their disposal, to run in three late tries for a final score of 10 v 32.

A rampant West Park Lions (3rds) ran all over Roundhegians 2nds for a 15 v 66 Merit Table win.

Hard running winger Dan Walker led the way with a hat trick. Fellow winger Matt Donizetti went in twice with further tries from scrum half George Nuttall, flankers Josh Pearson and Leon Blakey, centre Scott Barrett and fly half Phil Davies with the last named landing 7 conversions.

The 8th conversion came from prop Gareth Hammond with a neat drop goal - it wouldn't have been allowed in the old days!
