All three West Park Leeds teams on duty came second best on a disappointing day for the Club.

West Park Leeds lost their unbeaten league record, going down 13 v 26 to a well organised and fully committed Bradford Salem.

Trailing by just 6 points going into the final few minutes the hosts kicked away a clear two man overlap that could have won the game.

Moments later an interception try sealed a thoroughly deserved away win as the hosts chased the game.

Salem now look nailed on for one of the promotion spots with what looks like a three horse race developing for the other.

Tom Stokes had a fine game at scrum half, scoring a try before having to leave the game early amongst a spate of second half home injuries. Fullback Simon Towler converted the try and kicked two penalties.

A somewhat below strength West Park Warriors side acquitted itself well despite going down to a 47 v 10 loss to Wharfedale Foresters.

Prop Big Phil Adams scored the visitors' only try.

To complete the set West Park Lions were on the wrong end of a heavy away defeat to Selby 3rds, further details to follow,

As they say, it's only a game.

Yeah, right.
