Good luck to Sian at the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year Awards
Sian Partridge of West Park Leeds RUFC nominated for Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year Awards
Sian Partridge of West Park Leeds RUFC has been nominated for the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year Awards for their work as a rugby volunteer and their dedication to the game.
The awards are part of the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer Recognition Programme which provides grassroots rugby clubs and the rugby community with opportunities to recognise and reward the volunteers who make up such an integral part of the game.
Sian is the Girls Section Team Manager and works across three teams, U13, U15 and U18, which has a total of over 70 girls. This year has been a winning year with both the U13s and U18s winning the Yorkshire Cup. The Yorkshire Club 7s were held at West Park Leeds, which Sian organized and administered with over 175 girls attending on the day. Not only is Sian the team manager, but also a parent to Naomi who plays in the U13s, Committee member and sub committee member for the mini/junior section. On top of this, Sian is also the Club Coaching Coordinator taking care of all the coaching needs at West Park Leeds. The girls section is where Sian’s passions lie and the section is in great shape to thrive moving forward in to the future.
Sian is one of a select group of rugby volunteers in the area who is invited to attend an awards event held at Mitsubishi, Leeds. At this event, one volunteer will be announced as a Volunteer of the Year finalist – earning them a place at the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year Awards night at Twickenham Stadium on Friday 7 September 2018. Three overall winners will be announced on the evening and each one will receive a Mitsubishi car for a year as a thank you for their continued support of the game.
As well as the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer of the Year Awards, the programme offers a number of opportunities to say thank you to the thousands of volunteers who give back to grassroots rugby, week in, week out.
