The high flying Kites are looking to take home two trophies in two weeks

The under 18 girls team (also known as the kites) are looking to secure two titles in two consecutive weekends.

First, this weekend, Sunday 18th March, they will face previously national cup winners Castleford girls in the Yorkshire cup final. This is set to be a cracking encounter with both teams having pretty successful seasons thus far. This game will take place at Pontefract RUFC.

Then, Sunday 25th March, the high flying kites will take on Castleford again in the Area 6 final (Yorkshire, Northumberland, Durham and Cumbria). This should be a tasty encounter after the previous weekend settling the Yorkshire cup, the team who misses out are sure to want redemption in this fixture. The area 6 final will take place at Ripon RUFC.

With the u18's securing their place in two finals this season and the women's team looking to secure their place in the national cup final on the 18th March, these are very exciting times for the female sections of WPL.

We wish all the best to the u18's in both their finals. Follow the WPL social media accounts for up to date scores and fixture information.
