West Park RFC have begun the delivery of what is planned to be long term involvement in St Helens and Knowsley schools. Through RugbyPerformance.co.uk, a local coaching company, West Park players, Mario Bonati, Ryan De La Harpe, and Chris Dyson are coaching Rugby Union at 7 schools with plans to increase that to 11 before the end of January.
The aim of the programme is to increase the numbers participating in Rugby Union, hopefully start representative school rugby teams and from our perspective attract new players into the West Park teams.

Knowsley Sports Development are backing the delivery programme and once the extra schools are added details of exactly what we will be providing at the schools will e announced, for the moment we are simply coaching the pupils, long term we hope to be mentoring the teachers as coaches and even donating equipment to the schools.
