Rules and Constitution
Name and Purpose
The name of the Club shall be the West Park Rugby Football Club.

The purpose of this private members club is to fund the provision of the facilities and social environment that will promote the playing of the game of rugby union football in the local community
Membership
(a)Membership, whether playing, student, junior or social shall be open to anyone at the discretion of the Executive or General Committee.
(b)Every candidate for admission to membership shall be proposed and seconded on a duly prescribed form by members of the Club and shall be elected by the Executive or General Committee.
(c)Honorary life membership may be awarded to anyone who has rendered distinctive service to the Club. Nominations for honorary life membership shall be submitted in the first instance to the General Committee, who shall make recommendations to the Annual General meeting. No more than one person may be elected to honorary life membership each year.
(d)The minimum number of members shall be 25 and shall consist of all elected playing, student and social members with the honorary members.
(e)Persons under the age of 17 as at the 31st August of the current season may only apply for junior membership of the Club. Persons 17 and over as at this date are entitled to apply for one of the remaining membership classes.
(f)Persons eligible to play open age rugby who are not in full time education and wish to play rugby may elect to apply for playing membership of the Club.
Persons eligible to play open age rugby who are in full time education and wish to play rugby may elect to apply for student playing membership of the Club. Persons not eligible to play open age rugby may elect to apply for junior membership. Such membership will lapse on the completion of the playing season their 17th birthday falls in. Such junior members on attaining the minimum age requirements of the Club shall be entitled to apply for election as playing or student playing members dependent upon their employment status. Such application for re-election may be made no earlier than one calendar month prior to the junior member's birthday. Persons over the minimum age requirements of the Club, not wishing to play rugby but wishing to have full rights of the Club may elect to apply for social membership.
(g)Membership of the Club is open to all the community and without discrimination on the grounds of ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion beliefs, sex, age or disability, except as a necessary consequence of the requirements of the sport.
