--- but Jose Valby fails to score.

The First team had no trouble in disposing of Civil Service 4 - 0 a result that almost certainly relegates the Servants -- they fought hard but two goals from Charlie McGeary and the others from Jamie James and Jack Doyle meant that they have now conceded 9 goals without reply to the Bluebloods this season. Columbian striker, Jose Valby assisted JJ's goal but didn't find the net however, he is still keeping Joe Walby out of the side.

On the outside pitch we had a much closer game with Polytechnic FC who scraped home 1 - 0 with a goal that should have been easily avoided. Apologies for ranting at players for some terrible passes and clearances -- at times we lost out composure in our efforts to equalise and the bumpy pitch didn't really help. We pressed hard for most of the second half trying to wipe out their goal just before the half time whistle but Poly had several new, skilful players who retained the ball very well and broke up our attacks far too easily. We deserved a point.

The Reserves league is still the most interesting league that I have seen for many years -- we won both games in the Double Header at Civil Service to move into fourth place but, mathematically, we could still be relegated along with seven other clubs. Norsemen have already fallen through the trap door and Nottsborough have already grabbed the title but the other teams have some big games ahead of them.

At Chiswick we won the first game 2 - 0 with George Maw on target plus an own goal and in the second game we won 2 - 1 --- Hally scored and Ross Simmonds added a superb second with a left foot volley from just outside the box.

Realistically we are safe and it is more likely that we will finish in the top 3 or 4 so Fozzies Boys have shown excellent team spirit and skill to extricate themselves from a parlous position a month ago.

Well, Tom Ambler's bid for a Club Record of winning two 90 minutes games in one afternoon went West when South Bank/Cuaco cried off on Saturday morning. They went to Old Sedcopians in the Spring Cup and won 5 - 1 in the 3pm game -- goals came from Terry High, two from Big Dan Butler and one each for Joe Kallas and Gerard Elliott -- when did these two last score in the same game? The answer -- never. Will they do it again in their career? The odds are astronomic.

NEXT WEEK its the SAL INTERMEDIATE CUP FINAL at Polytechnic.
Andy Foster's ever changing squad take on WINCHMORE HILL RESERVES.

Kick off is 3pm and the coach leaves WWFC at 11.45am -- Mo is already confirmed -- let me know if you are coming as it's a big day for the Bluebloods.

Can we win our FOURTH CUP FINAL in the same season??
The young squad will appreciate your support on their big day so let Fozzie or myself know if you want a seat on the luxury coach.

No games on Saturday for the Fives and Actonians cried off the Fours fixture on Friday due to player shortage but it was their Sevens.
