First Team take on the Reserves -- and this will be ultra competitive.

We said t the start of the season that there were no "shoo ins" for the First team (ok, I know I misspelled Shoe) -- and we will continue to select the squad based on current form.

So far the First team squad has settled down reasonably well taking into account our new philosophy and the serious injuries that we sustained in the first four or five weeks (Freeo, Ruan, George Scud, Sam Kemp, Ross Simmonds and Cuzza).

However, we will stick with our policy of selecting in form players and promoted players will, almost certainly, always start when brought into the First team. So places are still up for grabs in the New Year and this makes today's Inter Club game even more important than it would normally be.

With club skipper Adam Freeman returning to competitive football along with Sam Kemp and Scud continuing his come back in the Threes, we should have almost full availability for the forthcoming AFA Senior Cup game at Old Aloysians on Saturday 3rd January 2015.

This means that todays game, which kicks off at 1.30pm, will be keenly contested. Both sides have virtually full, regular squads so there will be a high level of interest in the game.

The only SAL game is for the Threes who travel the short distance to Old Westminster Citizens with a 2pm kick off. So good luck to Andy's squad.

The Vets (aka the Sevens) have drawn Alexander Park 8's at Home in the Quarter Finals of the AFA Junior Novets Cup in January so another big game in the offing.
