Southern Amateur League
Sportsmanship & Hospitality update
Sunday 8 January 2012
Each season the Ian Hamilton Trophy is awarded to the club with the best marks for hospitality and sportsmanship through the season, as awarded by referees.
It was decided for season 2011-12 to publish the intermediate results on the website to give clubs an idea how they are performing. Below is the list of average marks (out of 10) for 1st to 3rd XI matches (i.e. where all matches receive league appointed referees) for sportsmanship and marks for hospitality for the home team.
We are pleased to say that even the lowest average is 7.50 out of 10 so well done to all clubs and lets hope even those 'slackers' can improve in the rest of the season.
