..... and Sixes hitting 10 goals against South Bank.Cuaco to keep promotion hopes alive.

The First team made no mistakes in their game against NU FC Oilers -- having lost 1 - 0 a couple of weeks ago against 10 men, we were never in danger of losing the return fixture. Ruan de Silva finished a clinical move by heading home Jack Doyle's right wing cross -- Joe Ivory added a second and Scott Simmonds completed the scoring. It finished 3 - 0.

The Reserves couldn't wipe out the memory of losing 3 - 0 to Winchmore Hill in the ISEH Cup Final -- they entertained The Hill who played very well winning 2 - 1. Muzza scored for us. It baffles me how the visitors are fighting relegation -- they looked a really good outfit and how their black centre back is not in the First team is a mystery -- he was outstanding in the Final and on Saturday.

The Fours cruised into second place in Minor Division Two South beating Actonians 6 - 3 after conceding an early goal. Centre back Jack Horgan converted two headers and Joe Kemp, Steve Jones, Paul Farthing and Chris Wright completed the scoring. Oli Green's boys edged out our Fives in the promotion battle on goal difference and now move into the top division.

The Sixes only won 10 - 1 making a mockery of my prediction of a 13 - 0 win. James Howells and Michael Bartley both hit hat tricks.
Dan Asante, Dan Butler, and Tom Pardon were on target but a thunderbolt from Paul Thornton was spectacular -- goal of the season said The Manager.

AND THEN --- "The Dinner" -- this was a huge, huge success so a massive thank you to all those players and parents of players who made the night so memorable. Matt and Sarah King's folks did a tremendous job -- the food was excellent -- all the caterers disappeared sharpish as they didn't want even a glimmer of limelight so we are thanking them here for their all their hard work. They typify Blueblood Club Spirit -- as do Tooks, Kingo, Freeo, Cuzza, Nick Gibbs and Tom Pardon -- they all put in a mighty shift to get the show on the road -- so thanks guys.

Ray Parlour was terrific -- what a lovely guy -- so thanks to Neil Linter and Jim Ryan and their companies Glemnet and ERS Recruitment for their sponsorship.

And finally The Managers -- their season's round ups were very funny and congratulations to Cuzza for his speech which sent Big Simmo to sleep - he ignored the "wind up now" signals and ploughed on to the end (only someone with Scottish blood could do this). Was it 35 minutes??

Truly a Spectacular Saturday.
