New Management appointed for first team

Wetherby Athletic are delighted to announce the return to the Ings of manager Matt Barnfather and his assistant Mick O'Toole.

The dynamic duo left the club a couple of years ago after a glittering managerial career that brought league titles, cups and numerous promotions. And whilst both of them enjoyed their break from the game, it's no secret they had been itching to get back.

When asked, Barnfather said "we've just had our fourth child, so i felt the time was right to get back into the game. It's a job I've always dreamed of and whilst i know it's going to be a struggle at least it gets me out of the house on a Saturday. Both me and Mick are really looking forward to the challenge"

Training at the Ings will be every Thursday at 6.30pm with all players welcome.

The new season starts on 11th of August with a friendly on the 4th August vs Knaresborough Town.
