KINGS CROSS PARK U8, S 10 - 1 WETHERBY BULLDOGS U8, S
Wetherby Bulldogs U8, s put in a very spirited and improved performance against a very good Kings Cross Park side. Led out by Captain Ben Crayford the lads got stuck in with some good attacking from Owen Hunter Archie Heap and Harry Walshaw with newcomer Michael Dewhurst showing some good touches. Defensively Freddie Helps, Odhran Duchon, Ben Crayford and Tom Algar did some fantastic tackles from the start. Just before the break an excellent run by Archie Heap gave the Bulldogs the confidence they needed with a solo effort to score in the corner. Kings Cross Came back strong having scored earlier tries then starting the 2nd half with a couple of quick tries as the Bulldogs tried to rally together. The lads seemed to get it together and started playing more for each other with some impressive gang tackles going in Freddy Helps, Harry Walshaw and Ben Crayford combining together on one memorable tackle and coming up with the ball. Some more strong running from man of the match Archie Heap and best attacker Owen Hunter with Tom Alger attacking with confidence as well. some further cracking tackles from best defence Odhran Duchon and most improved player Michael Dewhurst proved that wetherby bulldogs U8,s were showing very good glimpses of becoming a force to be reckoned with. We were very unlucky not to score more points. Well done on a very much improved performance we have some very good players in the making.
