We had a very close game at South Milford with two evenly matched teams. South Milford batted first, and got of to a flying start with there strongest pair out first.however after this pair the runs slowed and with some fine fielding, we started to take wickets with three great run outs and one near miss. Jack had his eye in hitting the wicket three times which accounted for two of the run outs. Both Toby and Alex picked up wickets with great bowling. Conor also was unlucky not to pick up wickets but had two overs only conceding 4 runs.
Our wides again did not help, with South Milford ending up on 291 for 5.

We had a shaky start losing two wickets in the first over, but Mickey and Alex recovered the situation and put on 30 runs for the loss of those two wickets. Aiden, Conor, Jos, and Louis moved the score on leaving the last pair of Jack and Toby to score 19 runs to win.
They managed to score 26 but unfortunatly lost two wickets. it went to the last ball which was stopped just short of the boundary, had it crossed we would have tied the game. Wetherby finished on 298 for 7
Well done to all it was a great game to watch. if we can tighten our bowling I am sure we can win the next game.
