All members of the club are invited to attend the 79th rugby section Annual General Meeting taking place at the Club on Tuesday 6th June 2017 at 7.30pm.

Please note that any member wanting to join the committee or wanting to cast a vote must be a a full member of the club. (please refer to club rules for more information) If unsure of your current membership status please contact Pete Wellden - Membership secretary via the clubs contact page.

10. In accordance with Rule 28 (See attached) of the Club Rules, a member may nominate another member for any Committee position. Nominations must be made in writing, signed by the nominee and seconded by a third member, to reach me no later than 31st May 2017 and I will forward to all members.

11. Consider resolutions submitted by the retiring Committee in accordance with Rule 14 and 17 (Below)

Extracts from Club Rules:
Rule 14
There shall be given at least 21 clear days' notice (in accordance with the notice provisions set out at Articles 92 and 93) of every Section AGM, specifying the place, the day and the hour of the meeting, the agenda for the meeting as well as the general nature of any other business, to all members of the relevant Section Committee as are entitled to receive such notices from the Club.

Rule 17
All members shall be entitled to propose resolutions to be voted upon at any Section AGM. Such resolution must be seconded by a member and must be deposited with the relevant Section Committee Chairman at least seven (7) days before the AGM takes place at which it is to be proposed to the members. The Section Committee Chairman will ensure that any such resolution is circulated to all members entitled to attend and vote at the relevant Section AGM in advance of that meeting.

Rule 28
Any Full Member may nominate another member to a position on each Section Committee. Any nomination must be seconded by another Full Member and signed by the nominee. The nomination must be in the hands of the Secretary at least 7 days before the Section AGM at which the election will be voted upon takes place. The Secretary will ensure that details of all nominations are circulated to the members before such general meeting.
