Weekly round up

All 3 games go ahead in the cold and all 3 teams win

For the first time this season all 3 Vandals teams playing won their league fixtures which made for a great day all round at the club finished off by a vintage performance by England at Murrayfield.

The First XV won a thrilling contest 34-31 against Purley which was in doubt until the final whistle. Although leading for most of the game Purley continued to threaten out wide and scored 4 tries themselves. Vandals scored 5 despite being down to 14 men for the last 30 mins of the game.

The Second XV beat Old Walcountians 37-30.

The Third XV beat Reigate 32-30 thanks to Reigate for lending us a player.

This weekend the First XV have a week off whilst the 2nd XV travel to Sutton and Epsom and the Third XV travel to Merton. The Owls host local rivals Cobham in the League. Details of the 6 nations games on the big screen will be posted on the site and could all players please check regularly whilst the cold weather continues. (did I mention its 28 and sunny in Cape Town)
