Weymouth started under pressure with the defence performing well. After a bumpy start they settled into their game and started to put the pressure back onto Wimborne. A short-corner was awarded against the run of play which was converted by Wendy Butcher with a strike. Wimborne attacked hard, with Bernie John intercepting the play, with the ball being passed up the pitch to Emily Austin who played it into the D which was beautifully put into the back of the net by Lynny Drewit. This was shortly followed by a similarly worked goal. In the second half, pressure on Wimborne defence caused them to pass around the back which went into the back of the net bringing the score to 0-4 to Weymouth. Very quickly after setting up play, the ball was powered in by Wendy Butcher which was deflected in by Chloe Van Crugten. Weymouth finished the goal flurry with a hatrix assist from Emily Austin who passed it into the D, which was played into the goal by Lynny Drewitt giving her a hatrix. Brilliant play from the whole team - the stars were looking down on us. They have a 2 week break now to consolidate tactics to take in to the final five league games of the season.
