Dear Whitehall Members
We are at the half way point of yet another season that has so far proved frustrating and challenging for coaches and players. The knock on effect of so many injuries and the loss of players through retirement or change of club, has affected all three teams.
However we have had some really spirited performances from those who have stepped up and helped secure some valuable victories. I would like to thank Steve and Mark for the endless patience they show in dealing with the disruptions.
After the break we have two games against teams in the top half of the league and two who are in the bottom half, let’s hope we can get off to a flying start and take all the points available.
The Junior teams are thriving, although we are missing some of the middle age groups. We have already seen a few of the older colts’ players in action and I look forward to them adding to our numbers in the future. There may be challenges ahead to finish the season on a high, both on the pitch and in the clubhouse but I would like to think that the Whitehall tradition of pulling together will see us achieve our goals.
As we look forward to spending this Christmastime with our family and friends, let us also remember those within the Whitehall family that have lost a loved one, may be supporting others through illness or are not at home for the holidays.
I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
