Wolves stand tall on Remembrance Day.....

Ryan arranges a match against BroadPlain RFC. On investigation BroadPlain have been unbeaten in the last two years! Wow, are the Wolves ready for this?

The weather leading up to match day is horrendous, non stop rain and then match day is here Sunday 9 November. Wake to an awesome day, fresh yet very sunny.

We arrive at the club to start marking out the pitch, as I look across I see BroadPlain have arrived. The team looks very impressive in their kit with matching tops, shorts and socks, and then the training starts. Wow, the coaches really know their drills, all players listen intently waiting for the next call from the coach.

As 11:00 game time approaches we all introduce ourselves and prepare both sides to mark our respects in Remembrance Sunday. Very proud moment as BroadPlain and the Whitehall Wolves stand shoulder to shoulder and bow their heads. Well done all…

The teams are chosen and BpradPlain start….

Broadplain show impressive positioning on the pitch and amazing teamwork. This is really going to be a test for the Wolves.

Wolves rise to the occasion showing BroadPlain what we are good at, Teamwork and Tackling. Our defence was strong as was our passing, the guys are really getting to know where they should be on the pitch and are now becoming very focused on not just trying to get the try’s but also defending.

BroadPlain played 2 very good games, there is a lot that we can learn from them, they had great organisation, space awareness and pace. Wolves played their toughest game and each player should hold their head high, you all played with Passion and Determination.

Match1: 6 BroadPlain 5 Wolves
Player of the Match: Saul and Rhys

Match2: 5 Wolves 4 BroadPlain
Player of the Match: Owen and Cullum
