Ken runs free coaching at Whitehouse, Coquet Park, Shiremoor, Star of the Sea, Priory, Holystone, St Cuthbert's North Shields.

Once again the Barbarians (Alan Emmerson and Ken Sykes) have just finished another term in schools, spreading the name across the local areas. We have done a lot more work this time around with Girls in schools with good numbers turning up. Hopefully we will be able to get these boys and girls down to training and some home games to raise the support of the Club. The other Schools have been great to visit and have shown great interest in the Barbarians with more students turning up to some of our home games, which is good to see.
We will be doing the rounds again, but we will be in Primary Schools looking to get the years 5 and 6 playing some rugby league. The primary schools that the Barbarians will be visiting are as follows:
