Scorers: Amreese Dhillon, Joslin Gorleku & Marco De Rosa.
Our injury crisis continues with James Roberts, Patrick Kavanagh, Archie Horton & Sami Kebbab all injured on Sunday. This was worsened with Amreese straining his hamstring late in the first half & having to come off early in the 2nd half. With Charlie Collins also clearly carrying a thigh injury & progressively struggling to strike the ball our resources were stretched thin on Sunday. An excellent first half saw us score twice. Firstly Amreese attacked & scored a header from an excellent Ollie McHenry free kick & then Joslin danced round a defender & slotted home following a skilful volleyed pass from Adam Holt. 2.0 was the least we deserved at h-t but fair dues to Kingstonian who had much the better of the 2nd half. We were forced to defend a succession of long throws & resulting corners but apart from conceding from a scramble from a free kick defended excellently. In the last minute we broke & Marco De Rosa scored his first goal for Whitton to secure the 3 points. A resilient rather than good 2nd half & very relieved to hang on. MoM was shared between the centre backs, Andre & George joined by Joslin who has had an excellent start to the season.
