Whyteleafe Under 18s lose first home league fixture

Whyteleafe beaten 0-1 by Corinthian

A lovely setting for Whyteleafe Under 18s in their first home Sportswik Youth fixture. Both teams started at a high pace with the home side making the first strike on goal with the visitors keeper Harry Earls saving and pushing the ball out for a corner. Sean Marcano and club Captain Ada Okorogheye had a quick one two but again the Corinthian back four stood firm. The away side had their first effort on goal on nine minutes but keeper Allesandro Morrone made a fine save. Corinthian kept up the pressure and following a good move James Miles scored from inside the box with a fine shot giving keeper Morrone no chance on 14 minutes. Max Kenny struck the crossbar with a great free kick on 35minutes. Corinthian were doing most of the attacking and Tariq Brown and Marco Fung working very hard and breaking up the Corinthian attacks. The away side were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box on 41minutes and again keeper Morrone made the save. Whyteleafe came back on the attack with Sean Marcano and Ada playing one two and Ada shot across the goal and just missed the far post.
