Whyteleafe lose at home to Maidstone

Title Chasers Maidstone gain another three points and remain top of the East Division of the Bostik League.

Another disappointing result for Whyteleafe Under 18s losing three game in a row, two Cup Semi-Finals and this League Fixture. Manager Darren Kenny was very disappointed with this result and felt we should have got something out of the game. The game kicked off at a fast pace with Whyteleafe on the front foot and made the first attack with Jaden Perez shooting and keeper Lorcan Healey pulling off a fine save. From the keepers clearsnce Maidstone played the ball into the Whyteleafe and a great header by centre forward George Robinson brought of a brilliant save from keeper Allesandro Morrone. Both teams were playing good football and every now and then Maidstone play the long ball to get behind the Whyteleafe back four of Jack Linscer making his first start for the club the impressive Reagan Brooks at left back with Sam Mason and the ever present Marco Fung. Maidstone set up another attack with Ken Charles making good runs into the Whyteleafe and his good shot brought off another excellent by Allesandro in the Whyteleafe goal. Tyrese Miller and Neil Spencer were forming a good partnership and a quick strike from Tyrese saw keeper Healet pull off another spectacular save. The deadlock was finally broken on 37minutes when George Robinson scored from close range to put the visitors ahead. Josh Walker-Reifet and Adam Bambroffe were working very hard in midfield while Jaden Perez was looking for that vital opening. Half Time Whyteleafe 0 v 1 Maidstone .
Whyteleafe made a change at the start of the second half with the return of the injured Sean Marcano for Jack Linscer. Maidstone were straight back into the game and Ken Charles made it 0 - 2 to the visitors on 48minutes with a well taken goal. Maidstone were in control from the start of the second half and striker Johnny Phillips made it 0 - 3 on 51minutes putting the game out of Whyteleafe's reach. Neil Spencer was continually obstructed by George Head the Maidstone left back but the referee and his assistant did not seem to notice and allowed play to continue. Lewis Miller was outstanding in midfield and his accurate passing of the ball was great to watch. Maidstone made their first change on on 59minutes when Ike Bignell replaced goal scorer Johnny Phillips. Maidstone made a furthur change on 64minutes with Charlie Vass replaced George Head.
Whyteleafe made a double substitution on 64minutes with Harry Mullane and Frankie Walker replacing Reagan Brooks and Jaden Perez. Both team continued to play good football and Maidstone made sure of all three points when Ken Charles scored from the penalty spot on 79minutes.
