Welling United get three hard earned points.

An away fixture on a cold December evening at Welling Football Club. The game kicked off at 7.30pm and the home team were straight on the attack with striker Ollie Milton fired over the bar. From the kick out keeper Theobald found Adam Bambroffe and his pass to Lewis Miller who ran with the ball before passing to Josh Berkerley who first time shot beat Welling keeper Matt Brown to score from 25yareds on 6minutes. Welling United were a very organised team with their manager shouting tactics from the dugout. Welling played some good short passing movements and had a great opportunity to equalise on 12minutes only for the Assistant Referee to flag for offside. From the resulting free kick Max Kenny found Elliot McLean who in turn made a precise pass to Ada Okorogheye and his first time shot was saved by Browne in the home team goal.Wellings Ollie Milton was causing problems with his close control and making excellent runs into the Whyteleafe area and a good shot brought off another fine save by Alex Theobald. The break through came on 31minutes when Ollie Milton fired home from close rangefollowing a pin point pass from Alfie Naylor. Welling were not prepared to sit back and scored a second goal on 35minutes, that man Ollie Milton received the ball and beat three defenders before scoring from inside the six yard box. Whyteleafe came back into the attack with Cormac O'Byrne running down the right hand side of the pitch passed to Lewis Miller who found Ada and his fine run and shot was blocked by Dan Edwards and cleared to safety.The play went from end to end with both teams playing good attractive football. Thd half started with Whyteleafe on the attack Adam Bambroffe had a shot bocked the ball fell to Ada and his shot was also blocked Tyrese Miller collected the balland his shot was blocked and behind for a corner. Welling got back into the game and following another great opportunity to score Nathan Mampano shot high and wide.Elliot Mclean was working hard in midfield breaking up some of the Welling passing movements. Cormac O'Byrne made another telling run and passed to Ada Okorogheye who shot at goal but keeper Brown made another save.Sam Mason and Marco Fung were kept busy by the Welling attempts to get into the box. Whyteleafe back on the attack and a foul on Tyrese Miller some 30yards from goal. The magical left foot of Max Kenny curled the ball into the box only for keeper Brown to punch the ball clear. Whyteleafe made their first change on 65minutes when Nial Spencer replaced goal scorer Josh Berkerley. Weling back on the attack with Ollie Milton looking for his hat trick but a great tackle from Marco Fung diverted the danger. Whyteleafe continued to attack and on 67minutes good work by Adam Bambroffe saw his effort cleared off the line and out for a corner. Welling made their first change on 71minutes with the hard working Nathan Mampono replaced by Algen Hamilton. Whyteleafe back on the attack looking for their second goal and a another good run by Ada Okorogheye was stopped by a hard challenge and fouled on 76minutes. Whyteleafe made their second change on 78minutes with Bradley Williams replacing Elliot McLean. Whyteleafe back on the attack and Neil Spencer worked his way to a shooting opportunity but lost his footing. Welling made a change on 87minutes Luke West replaced Andre Ohene. Whyteleafe had its final attack in the closing moments but the Welling defence stood firm and ran out winners. Final Score Welling United 2 v Whyteleafe 1.
