Croydon gain sweet revenge.

Croydon away win at Whyteleafe.

Croydon reversed the tables with a 0 - 3 win over Whyteleafe at Church Road. An excellent game of football the only difference Croydon took their goal scoring opportunities while Whyteleafe failed to convert chances that were created. Whyteleafe had a fantastic opportunity following a great pass from Tyrese Miller to Sean Marcano who beat two defenders and with only keeper Reece Powell to beat he fluffed his shot and the away keeper Reece Powell saved. Croydon's Marco Somoye sent a long ball to winger Jaedon Reed and his excellent cross was caught by Alec Theobald in the Whyteleafe goal. Play continued from end to end but Croydon at this stage were controlling the game with Marco and Nicholas Wilson dealing with everything that Whyteleafe had to offer. Bradley Williams made a great run and his shot was deflected over the bar for a corner. Croydon took the lead on 13minutes following a corner that was very well delivered and Croydons outstanding player Nicholas Wilson scored with a great header. Reagan Brooks made a couple of good runs down down the left wing but the the strong back four of Croydon managed to get the ball away. Whyteleafe's energetic midfielder Josh Walker-Reifet was injured on 27minutes and replaced by Josh Berkerley. Croydon were now in control of the game and created another attack but David Linscer playing at left back managed to intercept and make a good pass to Tyrese Miler and his silky skills got him to Croydens eighteen yard box and his excellent shot was saved by inform keeper Reece Powell. A long clearance by the keeper was headed away by Sam Mason to Tyrese and his graet run saw his shot go over the bar.

Manager Darren Kenny made his first change on 46minutes when David Appiah replaced Sean Marcano. Whyteleafe were first to attack when a pass from Max Kenny found Bradley Williams who crossed to Tyrese Miller but again keeper Powell made another good save. Croydon again played good passing football and a fine shot Niles Wait hit the crossbar. The home side came back into the game and a good pass from David Appiah found Tyrese and his shot was just wide of the upright. Bradley Williams received an injury on 58minutes ans was replaced by Josh Edoja, making his first appearance for Whyteleafe. From a free kick following a foul on Tyrese Max Kenny's shot went over the bar . Again Croydon were controling the game but fine play by the talented Tariq Brown and Harry Mulane kept the score at 0 - 1 to Croydon. Croydon's Marco Somoye moved upfield and his fine effort was saved by Theobald in the Whyteleafe goal. Croydon increased their lead on 83minutes. when Reagan Riley scored with a well placed shot. Croydon kept up the pressure and on 89minutes when Kofi Obeng scored with a fine header.
Final Score: Whyteleafe 0 v Croydon 3.
