Widnes RUFC

Widnes under 11's play host to Warrington this week, this was unfortunately to be their first home defeat of the season.

Due to the
pitch conditions it was agreed to play 4 periods of 10 minutes. The
first period saw Widnes dominate in their half but the strong
Warrington defence denied Widnes time and time again, it was certainly
a game of equals, both the first and second period was scoreless. In
the third period Warrington received the ball from a miscalculated
kick delivered by Nathan Redmond and they broke away from the Widnes
pack to take the first try of the match followed by a succesfsul
conversion. Widnes were then caught napping when the second try
shortly followed again followed by a conversion. The fourth period of
the game was more equal but neither side could manage to reach the try
line.

Both teams played stong confident rugby despite the relentless wind
throughout the games. Final score Widnes 0 Warrington 14
