As part of the National Trust supported Heritage Open Day Weekend, we’d like to get as many as possible down for a big photograph on Captains’ Sunday - 14th September for the Old Wids 90th anniversary.
The idea is for captains to become pyramid salesmen by spreading the word around their old colleagues whether in person or by proxy. We are talking about captains at every level. As Ste Barrow once said, the 1st XV is the flagship that the Wids is judged by but the lower teams often contain the workhorses of the club.
So if you know an old team captain, tell him about it, then tell him to tell somebody else.
