We've had a quick count up and we reckon everyone has raised about £1000 at the moment. This has come from match day subs, sponsors, raffle tickets and the fantastic auction items. A great big thank you to all who were involved in the day, donated prizes and those who put ground work in before the day.

The players involved came from a broad spectrum of clubs including Workington Zebras, Burtonwood, Ruskin Park, Widnes, Thatto Heath Crusaders, Aspull, West Park and some guys who don't even play regularly! The game showed some great skills and was played in the spirit of the day, with Team Matt narrowly winning Team Tom 19 - 17. Tries for Team Tom from former St Helens player Danny Arnold and from Craig "Irish" Southern; who has never played rugby before, kept the game firmly contested with Team Matt tries from Chris Hall and Chris Pennington. The deciding tries came from Chris Dyson and Ant Leadbetter, with the conversations being the deciding factor.

After the match there was plenty of raffle prizes which included lots of generous donations and then later on an auction. Big thanks to those who dug deep into their pockets and bought the auction items.
