The fixtures for the 2012/13 season have been released. The First team open their campaign with a trip to Leigh.

After finishing a credible third in North One West and winning the Lancashire Trophy, Widnes have a tough start with a trip to Leigh on 1st September.

In the other remaining games in September, they are at home to new boys Manchester, followed by tough trips to promoted Sale FC and Anselmians, before once again locking horns with arch rivals Wirral at Heath Road.

Other new teams joining the league this year will be; Fleetwood, Altrincham Kersal and Kirby Lonsdale.

The First Team will also be in action the previous Saturday (25th August) when the Lancashire Cup kicks off, the draw for which is yet to be made.

The Second Team, who were promoted in to Division One, will also begin their Raging Bull campaign on 1st September with a home game against Leigh. Subsequent games for the remainder of the month are; Sale FC (a), Waterloo (h), Broughton Park (h), Wirral (a).

The Third team will again compete in Division Four West, and their opening fixtures are; St Edwards OB (a), Mossley Hill (h), Waterloo (a), Liverpool St Helens (h), Ruskin Park (a)

A full list of fixtures will be added to the website as soon as possible.

Where next?

Here we go again! There was a great turnout the club on Tuesday evening for the first official pre-season training session.
It was 14 years ago today (or thereabouts) In 1998 the Wids Under 12's toured the south west, securing wins against Avon RFC (Bath) and Longlevens (Gloucester).
