Happy Birthday Crossy!!
Long serving Mark Cross celebrates his 60th birthday on Saturday, which coincides with the game against Leigh. Feel free to ask him to buy you a drink!
As a pre-cursor to the big day, family - especially wife Maureen and children,David and Linda - as well as friends,organised , enjoyed a day out at Haydock Races followed by a evening meal at The Maplewood. The day was supervised by his long term buddies Crack, Les and Ace.
It seems Crossy tried his hardest to get a concession as a pensioner to gain entry into the race course, but was told in no uncertain terms that to qualify you have to prove your age by showing your bus pass. Unlucky Mark!!!
Long time friends Crack and Les have also announced that they are looking for newer, younger friends as both Crossy and Ace showed they can no longer handle the pace.
"What a pair of lightweights" said a disappointed Crack and Les.
