Roger Brady came up with these biographical details:
"Paddy Brennan was an early member of the Club and a good friend of Eric Wilson, father of Frank Wilson our first Captain. Paddy was the licensee of the Church Inn at Eccles which became a regular watering hole for any Club team playing in the Manchester area.He was very generous with both advice on looking after the bar and also donating equipment to help us run a successful Club. At the time of course we were running the bar with Club Members and we were all new to the game, Paddy was a great help."
I've got it at the back of my mind that someone told me that Paddy was in the Hot Pot Supper photo. Can anyone clarify if that's him in the middle? Better still, can somebody come up with a decent picture of him?
This is the first of numerous requests along these lines. I've been distracted by Frank Lawless and his ladies for a while but Kev Farrow nagged me at the AGM so I've promised to have pictures of all the clubmen collated and on display in the heritage room by next June.
