As well as the youngest player in the history of the Rugby World Cup, the newly elected Chairman of World Rugby's coming to the Wids.

I'm not making this up. I've had a phone call from the RFU.

Bill Beaumont will be the RFU's main speaker on Saturday 4th June at the official Welcoming Ceremony for Georgia U20s. Past Presidents, Vice Presidents, Committee men and Club Captains are encouraged to join other invited guests in the Concert Room for 3pm. Pass it on.

So far, so straight forward. "How are the arrangements for the bike ride with Lymm?" was the question I wasn't prepared for. "Errrr...." was the reply. Some things develop a momentum of their own. A Wild Hogs day out has become an international event. It turns out that Georgia and Japan, having beaten Tonga and South Africa in the RWC pool games, are seen as two key development countries for the sport.....and we are their hosts.

You'll see the plan elsewhere on the website but, just in case there are cry-offs, could you give this some thought?
"Half a dozen Vets" was my cycling commitment: We are John Loughnane, Martin Griffiths, Bill Wheeler, Ste Flynn, Ste Clark and Graham "Crack" Riley so far. Lymm tell me they have 6 to 9 riders; would anybody like to add their name to our list?

Alternatively, we're looking for Indoor League players to meet the men from Lymm at heath road for an hour of darts, dominoes, pool and matchbox rugby at 12.30 on Sunday 5th June. To date, we have Neil Street, Andy Griffiths, Ian Nicholson, Sam Cook, Ged Snee and Graham McLean. Any more for any more? Our Lancashire Cup winning Colts are particularly welcome as Lymm won the Cheshire Colts Cup at the beginning of May.

This will mean nothing to younger members but bring a groan from older folk: the chap at Lymm, Brian Leyland, is a Bongo Casual.
Trevor Rigby will tell you all about it.
