Following on from their disappointing performance at Penrith, Widnes will be hoping for better things when they take on another of last season’s promoted teams, New Brighton at Heath Road.
New Brighton have made steady – if not spectacular progress - since their return to North One West, occupying eleventh spot in the table. They are currently on a four match losing run - their latest defeat being a 30 – 25 reverse against Broughton Park at Reeds Lane.
The home side, on the other hand, will be anxious to get back to winning ways, and avoid losing further ground, which has see them slip three places in the league table.
The game kicks off at the earlier time of 2.15pm.
