Although the season has finished for the mighty Widnes U8s that doesn't mean we have finished doing things together and a small team consisting of Lewis York, Jacob Rowley, Peter King, Josh Morgan and Dylan Knowles along with Jack York from the U9s were invited to the Sale Sharks V Newcastle Falcons match on Saturday to take part in a parade of champions to commerate Mark Cueto's last home match before retirement.

The team enjoyed the rugby in the first half and then took to the field at half time for the parade of champions, doing a lap of the pitch, meeting the mascots along with a number of Sale players before getting back to their seats in time for the second half which Sale ran out winners but only after a few close calls!

Really enjoyable day and hopefully the start of many days out during the off season. Thank you to Sale Sharks and the team there for inviting us and thank you to our sponsors Academy estate agents who hopefully got a little coverage!
