We are sad to report that Alan Nye, a Club stalwart of the 1970's, has been taken from us by following a short illness.
Alan was a 1st XV regular at full back in the 1970's who also served on committee as fixture secretary. He worked hard to improve our list with some success and also organised tours both in the UK and abroad. Once he retired from playing he then joined lifelong friend, Frank Morgan, in running the Colts. Unfortunately for the Club his work as a mining engineer then took him to the Southern Hemisphere and he finally settled in Indonesia.
Alan remained a generous supporter of the Club and was made an Honorary member in 2012.
