Frank Morgan appointed President 2012-14

The Executive Committee have confirmed the appointment of Frank Morgan as Wigan RUFC President from September 2012. The two year term will include the 2013-14 Centenary season. This appointment is richly deserved as Frank has served both club and county in many roles since arriving at Douglas Valley in 1969.
Frank is no stranger to presidential office having been honoured by Lancashire County in 2003-04, particularly for his work with the Colts section. He has also served as Club Chairman for many years and the members are advised to consider his replacement in advance of the AGM next May.

Great news dad, as your son and heir would it not be right and fitting that I take over the mantle as club chairman ?

    The Morgan Dynasty.........
Ian - there could not be a more deserving 'Chairman in Waiting' than your good self - If you manage to pay your membership in time you will certainly get my vote. You should note though that being chairman does not get Ann out of Kitchen Duties!!!

If/when I become chairman, the minis will play on a saturday and the seniors on Sunday at 11am, but they cant use the 'minis first 9-15 player pitch'. The bar would also open intermittently on sundays and close very early. I would employ outside caterers in the kitchen serving cereals, pasta & fresh fruit !!!!!!!!!!!!!
