Cuths Brave in Defeat
Halton 5 Cuths 2
Cuths winning run came to end this morning in a brave defeat to Halton Farnworth Hornets.
Cuths only travelled with 8 players and credit to each and every one of those players for their effort in a tough game.
Halton openend the scoring after some strong runs but cuths hit back. A tremendous go forward run by bobby hart moved cuths forward and Joe Walker with an equally impressive strong run barged over.
Both teams were showing great determination in defence but it was Halton who breached cuths line twice more to leave it 3-1 at half time.
In the second half halton extended their lead after cuths had gallantly kept halton out for 5 tackles only for a good cross field run saw halton score in the corner. Jamie Kenyon then got one back for cuths after a picking up a stray back pass and running the full length to make it 4-2.
Halton went over at the end to make it 5-2 where Daniel suffered a bad eye injury in the process. Cuths relinquished their last set due to the injury and the game finished.
Some strong running and strong defence on show from both sides.
Paul and Mick very proud of everyones efforts today
