U14's Cobras - Report
Date: Sunday 20th May 2012 - Kick Off: 10:30
League
| Cobra's | 18 | vs | 26 | Rose Bridge |
Berry returns to steal the win.
Excellent effort and display.
Well Bridge made the short trip with the thoughts that they were going to give our lads a thrashing how wrong they were. Pat's got stuck in from the start but against the run of play it was Bridge who got the first points.Pat's responded superbly and drew level through Dec O' Donnell. The game was certainly living up to expectations as the Cobra's ripped into the Bridge and at half time with the scores level at 8-8 it was Pat's who had been the better side. Bridge were relying on the strength of Matty Berry on the line and this resulted in scores for the strong running Berry. As the game progressed the Bridge lads were yards offside but this was going unpunished but it was Pat's who took the lead and at 14 to 8 were well worth the lead having been by far the better side. However Bridge are not top of the League for nothing and they came back once again to level the scores at 14-14. With time running down Pat's hit back once again to lead by 18-14 and then thought they had won it when Connor Galvin was pulled back for a forward pass that was never in the memory of man. Bridge once again hit back to go in front by 20-18 and then sealed victory by 26-18 in the last minute. This was a fantastic display of Rugby by both sides and Pat's were really dissappointed by some very contoversial decisions continuouslly going the Bridge way.
