Yet again one of our successful professional players, remembers his roots!! Vote Owen England Player of the Tournament and he'll donate his prize!

Canterbury launches award for England player of
the tournament as voted for by fans

Canterbury, the official team kit partner of England Rugby is giving fans the chance to honour one member of the England Rugby team with the England Player of the Tournament Award.

Is Chris Robshaw leading the team to victory? Should Owen Farrell be rewarded for being England’s top scorer? Is Manu Tuilagi’s attacking the reason behind the team’s success? Is Dan Cole performing well in the scrum? Should Geoff Parling be commended for his high tackle count? Do England owe their victory over France to Tom Wood’s defence?

A shortlist of six players has been created after careful analysis of England’s performance so far. It is now over to the fans to decide who is worthy of the being named England Player of the Tournament. The winning player will receive Canterbury kit to donate to a local club team of their choice.

Choose your England Player of the Tournament:
Chris Robshaw, donating to Warlingham RFC
Dan Cole, donating to South Leicester RFC
Geoff Parling, donating to Stockton RFC
Manu Tuilagi, donating to Hinckley RFC
Owen Farrell, donating to Wigan St Patrick’s ARLFC
Tom Wood, donating to Barkers’ Butts RFC

Chris Stephenson Canterbury CEO said: “We launched this award to commend the excellent standard of rugby we have seen from England players throughout the whole tournament. England stand a great chance of winning the RBS 6 Nations and Canterbury want to celebrate the stand out performances in the team that are helping to make this possible.”

To cast your vote head to www.rfu.com/playerofthetournament or on England Rugby’s Facebook page before voting closes on 19th March. All votes will go into a prize draw to win a Canterbury England jersey. The player with the most votes at the end of the RBS 6 Nations will be named England Player of the Tournament, sponsored by Canterbury, Official Team Kit Partner of England Rugby.
