Under 11's player gets to spend time with England RU player Owen Farrell

The RFU are working hard to develop England Rugby at all levels and a key part of this is in continuing to make connections from the grass-roots to the England senior team. As we hope supporters of England can see, our players take the responsibility of representing the country very seriously on and off the field. They feel they represent not just themselves, but also their family, friends and all those that have helped them on their journey.

The support of Wigan St Patrick's RLFC has been instrumental in helping Owen Farrell (Saracens) become an England international.
In order to recognise the very real connection you have with the England team in Owen we would like to invite Wigan St Patrick's RLFC to supply a mascot to attend the QBE International against South Africa at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday, November 24, 2012.

The mascot will run out alongside Owen, if selected in the match day 23-man squad, and enjoy a memorable experience at the Home of England Rugby. If the player is not selected in the match day squad the mascot will still get the opportunity to attend and to watch the game.

Dylan Anglesea was chosen to experience and enjoy the oppertunity. Dylan was also given the chance to go down and watch the England team train and spend some time with Owen. Mum Lisa said 'Dylan has had a fantastic day and Owen was brilliant with him'.

I think everyone will agree it is great to see that even when players leave to become professional either in RL or RU, they never forget where it all started for them.

May i take this oppertunity to wish Owen every success in his career, and to Dylan have a fantastic day.
